I came to Poorani Vilaas to try their mutton rolls and patties. Both were nicely crispy and served warm, which was a good start. But the filling was underwhelming—there was barely any actual mutton in either. The roll was mostly potato with just a hint of meat, and the patty had a pasty texture with very little mutton as well. A bit disappointing overall. I hope they improve the filling to better match the name and expectations.

I stopped at this local Sri Lankan take our place on my way home from a night shift. I ordered the Idli breakfast - this includes 2 dosa, 2 Idli, a vada, coconut chutney, sambar and your choice of coffee or tea. It was just what you could hope for. The dosas were light and not greasy. The Idli were fluffy, the vada had a lovely texture. Much better than what I’ve been getting at Babu. I also ordered a few veggie samosas. These I was less impressed with. The shell wasn’t crispy, it was oily, and there wasn’t anything particularly memorable about the veggie filling.

Ordered a sushiami found a hard coconut piece in it ! Tbh I wouldn’t have put a review but it was for my dad with a restriction for hard foods! I love string hopper but they got to work on they quality assurance on other products
